Artist's Comments

This is inspired by my little one day inpatient fiasco. Needless to say I don't intend to go harming myself again just on the sheer fear of being put back in the hospital. Yech.
The writing on the walls is Shakespeare. Or it's the lyrics to Walk on Vanity's Ruins, take your pick.
I guess this is doodle #2 in my silhouette series. I'm enjoying it.
Credit where credit is due! I borrowed the window from tenebranangelus

This is very cool in a dark and gloomy way.

i like the sense of confusion, and captivity.. within oneself, and within one's reality.... very nice work...... i'm curious what it might have looked like sans sillouette.. just the room, and the words...... i like the mixing of media as well....... reminds me of the process videos by skinny puppy from way back....... nice mood evoked..... and i choose vanity's ruins over shakespear ^^

Erf...wish I'd read your comment earlier. Today was the great cleaning of the harddrive. All my stuff from my masters thesis and my pre-deviation doodles got zipped, dumped, or both. *groan*
To be real honest it looked like something was missing without the silhouette. It was a lovely gloomy room scene but it felt like there was something that needed to be the focus other than the window. Of course if I'd done something with the window....who knows?
Maybe that's something for another deviation. *wicked grin*

I stumbled across this and it is awesome. It has good meaning that is depicted. Great job! I added it to my favorites.
